The team behind the new Horimiya anime series recently released a new concept promotional video titled “Shuwa Kyun version.” The anime is set to premiere in July, and it will feature stories from the original manga that were not covered in the previous anime adaptation. Meanwhile, the returning staff members include Director Masashi Ishihama, Series Script Supervisor Takao Yoshioka, and Character Designer Haruko Iizuka, to name a few.
The previous television anime began airing again in Japan on April 22, at 24:00 (effectively, Sunday at midnight, or April 22 at 11:00 a.m. EDT). Yen Press publishes the Horimiya manga in English and describes the story as a bubbly, sweet tale of school life. The manga was launched in Square Enix’s Monthly G Fantasy magazine in 2011 by Daisuke Hagiwara and ended in March 2021. The anime adaptation premiered in Japan in February 2021, and Funimation streamed it with an English dub.
