Update Your PlayStation 5 Controller Wirelessly

Sony has released a new update for the PlayStation 5 that includes various upgrades, including a solution to a long-standing issue for PS5 players. The DualSense controllers can now be updated wirelessly, eliminating the need to physically connect them to the console.

According to the PlayStation Blog, players have the option to update their controllers wirelessly or via USB cable, with the latter recommended in case of difficulty with wireless updating. The wireless update feature is currently available for those in the PS5 beta program, which can be joined by visiting the PlayStation website. The update is expected to roll out to all PS5 users soon.

The update is currently available in the US, Canada, Japan, the UK, Germany, and France and brings support for 1440p in VR, variable refresh rate support, and the ability to link Discord accounts to the PS5 for easy cross-platform chatting.
