The Idolm@ster Shiny Colors: Song for Prism” revealed for upcoming Smartphone Game
A special live-streamed event for The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors made an announcement regarding the new smartphone game called The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors: Song for Prism. This idol-training simulation and rhythm game will allow players to become a producer for the 283 Production agency and manage the careers of 26 idols. The game will also feature lessons and gigs, and players will have to follow along with the beat of the idols’ songs.
The game’s announcement was made during the special event and Bandai Namco Entertainment’s existing The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors browser game players can apply to test the new game’s demo until May 7. Only 80,000 players will be able to play the demo version of the game from May 19 to May 23. The game will be free to download in the Apple App Store for iOS devices and Google Play store for Android devices, but players will have the option to purchase in-game items.
The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors browser game, which is free-to-play with in-game purchases, was launched in April 2018 by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The browser game enables players to train idols and compete against other producers/players online in live concert performances. In addition to the browser game, the franchise has also produced concert events, goods, CDs, and radio programs.
Moreover, the announcement mentioned that the television anime adaptation of The IDOLM@STER Shiny Colors browser game will premiere in spring 2024. However, the 12-episode anime will first be screened in theaters starting on October 27 before its television premiere. The anime will be shown in three parts across 75 theaters in 47 prefectures throughout Japan. Fans can expect the anime to be based on the same concept as the browser game, with players following the careers of idols and engaging in online competitions.
