Long-Awaited Mineko’s Night Market Gets Release Date After 8 Years Of Development

During this showcase, Meowza Games finally revealed the release date for their highly anticipated game, Mineko’s Night Market. The game has been in development for eight long years since it was first announced in 2015, and has been highly anticipated for its stunning watercolor graphics, its focus on Japanese mythology, and of course, its abundance of cats. Players will step into the shoes of Mineko as they explore, craft, make friends with townsfolk, and participate in the local night market where they can sell virtually anything they find. Although the gameplay mechanics may not be entirely unique, the game’s visual design sets it apart from similar titles such as Fantasy Life. Mineko’s Night Market is set to launch on Nintendo Switch on September 26th, and it has also been announced for PC.

My Time at Sandrock to arrive in the summer of 2023

During this showcase, Pathea Games provided an in-depth look at My Time at Sandrock, the highly anticipated follow-up to the popular game My Time at Portia. Drawing inspiration from the Gobi Desert, the game promises to offer players a range of exciting features, including the ability to construct machines, develop their workshop, and customize their living space. The game takes place five years after the original game and follows the story of Riley as she returns to her hometown to investigate strange electromagnetic signals. Oxenfree II introduces a new walkie-talkie system that allows players to communicate with other characters and make choices that will impact the game’s branching narrative. The game was previously delayed as Night School Studio aimed to make it their “best game yet.” The wait is finally over, with Oxenfree II set to launch on July 12, and pre-orders available from today.

In addition to this great news, Nintendo unveiled several upcoming games and announced release dates for some of them. Among the titles with confirmed release dates was Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach, a highly anticipated game set in the popular horror franchise. While there were other games announced during the presentation, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach was the most notable one to receive a release date. During today’s Indie World Showcase, Nintendo also revealed upcoming DLC for several existing games. Cult of the Lamb: Relics of the Old Faith, which was previously announced, will be receiving a major update on April 24. This DLC will introduce dozens of new items, relics, and items scattered across remixed dungeons, as well as a permadeath mode and other features. In addition, Shovel Knight: Pocket Dungeon will be receiving a significant update this spring, which will include two new playable characters, new challenges, and numerous hats.
