PlayStation 5 Will Gets More Accessible With Sony Producing More Than Expected

Sony is on a roll with PlayStation 5 consoles.

They have already shipped more than 25 million consoles up to now and have significantly stepped up production. As per their latest earning report they have sold more than 3.3 million PS5s in the three-month period up to 30th September, which is equal to what they did in 2021.

Sony sold around 5.7 million PS5s since the beginning of this financial year (April 2022), leaving Sony on an uphill task to reach its target of selling 18 million consoles by March 2023. But according to Sony’s executive deputy president and CFO Hiroki Totoki, the 18 million target is still achievable as Sony has exceeded its own expectations by fabricating 6.5 million PS5s during the Q2 period alone.
