Pedro Pascal and Matt Damon Sign On to Star in Ethan Coen’s Upcoming Comedy Caper, DRIVE-AWAY DOLLS
Actor Pedro Pascal, known for his work in The Mandalorian and The Last of Us, and actor Matt Damon, who recently starred in the Nike drama Air, have joined the cast of Ethan Coen’s upcoming film project Drive-Away Dolls. The film is described as a “comedy caper” and also stars Margaret Qualley and Geraldine Viswanathan. The story follows Jamie, an uninhibited free spirit, and her friend Marian, who embark on a road trip to Tallahassee but encounter a group of bumbling criminals along the way. This is Ethan Coen’s first narrative film project without his brother Joel Coen. Ethan will direct the film from a script he co-wrote with his wife Tricia Cooke, who he previously collaborated with on the documentary Jerry Lee Lewis: Trouble in Mind. The film is a co-production between Focus Features and Working Title and also stars Beanie Feldstein, Colman Domingo, and Bill Camp. Despite the brothers not working together since The Ballad of Buster Scruggs in 2018, Ethan has confirmed there’s no drama between them and that it’s just the natural exhaustion that comes from making movies for over 30 years.
