After 10 Year Origin Get Replaced with a New PC App

Electronic Arts is officially replacing its Origin app on PC with something new following years of feedback.

This new app is designed to offer a “faster, more reliable, and more streamlined gaming experience,” according to EA’s blog post, with features like connectivity with other gaming platforms including Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox, automatic game downloads, and background updates.

Players currently using Origin will be invited to switch over, by the time they receive their invite, all their games and content, including games previously installed, will be ready and waiting for them on the EA app.

Princess Peach Looks in The Super Mario Bros Movie Been Leaked by McDonald’s

If you too were waiting like me, then the new McDonald’s advertisement has given us the first look of Princess Peach which was notably absent during The Super Mario Bros. Movie’s first official trailer released yesterday but was included in a bunch of McDonald’s adverts which has now been removed from social media.

Princess Peach will be voiced by Anya Taylor-Joy & Mario is voiced by Chris Patt.

What do you think of Princess Peach?? She definitely looks more like a Disney Princess.

Beware of Hackers: Final Fantasy 14 Players Are the New Targets

It’s a warning for Final Fantasy 14 players as hackers are attempting to gain access to Square Enix accounts by using a combination of email addresses and passwords that appear to have been obtained from other online services of other companies

To protect your accounts:

  1. Change any passwords, if shared with other accounts.
  2. Reset your passwords
  3. Use One-Time Passwords which are temporary verifications that authenticate a user for a single login.

Square Enix says if this continues they may force a password reset for all Square Enix accounts in order to protect personal information and data.

Official Teaser Trailer of Wolf Pack Starring Sarah Michelle Gellar

The upcoming supernatural series Wolf Pack is based on Edo Van Belkom’s book series, Wolf Pack.

The story follows a teenage boy and girl whose lives are forever changed when a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature. Wounded in the chaos of its attack, the teens are inexplicably drawn to each other. As the full moon rises, all four teens come together to unravel the secret that connects them — the bite and blood of a werewolf. Sarah Michelle Gellar stars as arson investigator Kristin Ramsey.

Wolf Pack the series will premiere on Paramount+ on Thursday, January 26th

God Of War Ragnarok Has Gone Gold!!

Developer Santa Monica Studio has announced that God of War Ragnarok has gone gold, which means that work on the game has wrapped up and discs are being sent to manufacturing for mass production.

The announcement also contained a graphic that shows Santa Monica Studio was supported by eight other studios for Ragnarok’s development, which included biggies like PlayStation Studios Creative Arts, Valkyrie Entertainment, Bluepoint Games, Red Hot, Super Alloy, Jetpack Interactive, Super Genius, and Original Force.

Ragnarok is releasing on PS4 & PS5 in November. You can also enjoy playing it with Sony’s God of War-themed DualSense controller.

Blockbuster or What?

Netflix has announced its upcoming Netflix original sitcom series Blockbuster, which is set in a fictionalized version of the last Blockbuster Video store in the world. After learning he is managing the last Blockbuster Video in America, Timmy [Randall Park] and his employees fight to stay afloat.

Blockbuster is a 30 Minute,10-episode comedy series also starring Melissa Fumero as Eliza Walker, Tyler Alvarez as Carlos Herrera, Madeleine Arthur as Hannah Hadman, Olga Merediz as Connie Serrano, JB Smoove as Percy Scott, and Kamaia Fairburn as Kayla Scott.

Blockbuster premieres on November 3, only on Netflix.

Big News: Bethesda Finally Confirmed Deathloop And Dishonored Are In The Same Connected Universe

Recently Deathloop director Dinga Bakaba was on the Xbox Podcast and he revealed this interesting info that Deathloop takes place in the same universe as Dishonored, but far into the future. It was a longstanding fan theory that has now got an official confirmation.

He also went on to say that Deathloop has lots of clues that point to Deathloop and Dishonored being in the same universe, some of which are obvious and some of which are much smaller and more subtle.

Official Trailer of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, Starring Alexandra Daddario

AMC has announced the series adaptation of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, debuting on January 5th, 2023, on AMC+.

It’s based on Anne Rice’s Lives of the Mayfair Witches, the film is an exploration of female power and the mortal implications of our decisions. It focuses on an intuitive young neurosurgeon (Alexandra Daddario) who discovers that she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches. As she grapples with her newfound powers, she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.

It also stars Harry Hamlin, Jack Huston, Annabeth Gish, Beth Grant, Erica Gimpel, Jen Richards, and Tongayi Chirisa.

Steam Deck Trailer Got Off and On, After Briefly Featuring A Switch Emulator Icon

You heard it right, in the recent trailer of Steam Deck, Valve’s portable PC platform, you can briefly see the logo for a Nintendo Switch emulator, it was only visible for a second or two and got all the attention to be discussed on social media, the trailer was then removed and replaced with a new version that does away with the icon in question.

Where? One of the recent games listed is the application Yuzu.
What? Yuzu is an open-source emulator for Nintendo Switch, designed for portability, and a pretty good fit for the Steam Deck.
