It is thrilling to witness NASA’s continued pursuit of exploring beyond our planet and paving the way for the next generation of space enthusiasts.

Amazon Studios Explores Rebooting Classic Films and TV Shows, Including Robocop and Legally Blonde

Amazon Studios is currently exploring the idea of remaking some of MGM’s biggest hits for film and/or television development. Amazon acquired MGM’s extensive film and television catalogue for $8.5 billion in March 2022, and is now looking to bring back beloved franchises from the past. Some of the titles being considered for remakes include Robocop, Stargate, Legally Blonde, Fame, Barbershop, The Magnificent Seven, Pink Panther, and The Thomas Crown Affair. Each title is being approached differently, with some being steered more towards film and some towards television. Some of the bigger titles, though, are even being considered for both film and television adaptations. For instance, Amazon is in early conversations to remake Legally Blonde as both a movie and a TV series. Additionally, Amazon is developing television series based on Fame, Barbershop, and The Magnificent Seven, and there have also been talks about a Thomas Crown Affair movie. The company is actively exploring a Pink Panther movie, which might be animated, and a Poltergeist remake is also a possibility down the road. Although nothing is set in stone yet, Amazon seems determined to expand its film and television offerings with remakes, legacy sequels, and modern re-imaginings of beloved classics. While the development of these MGM properties has been slow due to complex rights issues, Amazon is keen to bring these franchises back to life.

Xbox Responds to User Complaints and Revamps Cluttered Home Dashboard

Microsoft has announced that it will be making changes to the Xbox Home dashboard after receiving complaints from the community about its cluttered appearance. In September 2022, Microsoft invited Xbox Insiders to participate in a “multi-month series of experiments” aimed at creating a more personalized home screen experience.

However, the changes were not well received by users, who found the new UI too crowded and obstructive to their chosen backgrounds. As a result, Microsoft has paused the experiments and pledged to work on creating a better balance between the interface and backgrounds.

In a blog post, the company stated that it will “balance the experience, accessibility, function, and the needs of our community and bring you a great and refreshed Home experience.” As part of the process, Alpha and Alpha-Skip Xbox Insiders will be reverted back to the original Xbox Home experience they were using, with their previous settings and backgrounds restored. The “new Home” settings will be saved for future use.

Ivy Krislov, Senior Product Manager Lead of Xbox Experiences, expressed gratitude for the feedback received and assured the community that the team is working hard to incorporate it into the experience. The company is excited to share further details with the community soon.

Thanos’ Quest for the Power Stone was the Focus of a 45-Minute Deleted Scene in Avengers: Infinity War

Jim Starlin, the creator of Thanos, recently disclosed that Avengers: Infinity War had a 45-minute deleted scene that remained unfinished. The scene would have showcased Thanos’ trip to Xandar to retrieve the Power Stone, the first of the Infinity Stones. According to Collider, Starlin discussed the scene as a guest on Near Mint Condition. In the final cut of the film, the story begins with Thanos already possessing the Power Stone, using it to defeat Thor, Loki, and Hulk, and acquiring the Space Stone from the Tesseract.

However, the deleted scene would have depicted Thanos’ devastating journey to Xandar, where he destroys the planet and the Nova Corps to obtain the Power Stone. Starlin revealed that despite the scene being shot, it was eventually cut due to cost concerns and the desire to avoid making the film as lengthy as Avengers: Endgame. The Russo brothers had informed him via email that they had cut 45 minutes of Thanos from the movie about a month before its release.

Starlin’s statement that Marvel did not anticipate the huge success of Avengers: Infinity War is also noteworthy. The film grossed over $2.05 billion globally and currently sits at the sixth position on the list of highest-grossing films of all time.

The New Pokemon Anime Appears to Have Introduced a Never-Before-Seen Pokemon

The latest Pokemon anime, Pokemon Horizons, which replaces the long-running Ash and Pikachu-led series, may have introduced a never-before-seen Pokemon in its first episode. According to Serebii.net, Liko and Sprigatito encounter a small turtle-like Pokemon that appears to be partially made of diamonds or crystals, and has never been seen before. The introduction of this new Pokemon is reminiscent of Ash’s encounter with Ho-Oh in the original anime. It is uncertain who this turtle Pokemon is, but there are clues that suggest we may find out soon thanks to the upcoming DLC for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

The new Pokemon bears a resemblance to Terapagos, the Legendary Pokemon that will be introduced in The Indigo Disk, which is part two of the DLC The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero. Terapagos has been alluded to in the Scarlet Book and Violet Book in the game, suggesting that there may be big plans for this Pokemon. It is unclear whether the small turtle shown in the anime is a pre-evolution of Terapagos or a Pokemon linked to it in some other way, or if it is a completely different Pokemon. The Indigo Disk is set for release in Winter 2023, so fans may have to wait until then to find out for sure.

However, the first part of the DLC, The Teal Mask, is set to be released in Fall 2023, taking trainers on a school trip to the land of Kitakami, where they will encounter more than 230 Pokemon previously not found in Scarlet and Violet. In addition, The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero and other events will add even more excitement to the world of Pokemon.

The film has now confirmed its two lead stars, Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette, who are currently in negotiations to finalize their contracts and work out scheduling and budget details.

The movie’s plot centers around a juror who is participating in a murder trial and gradually realizes that he is responsible for the victim’s death in a reckless-driving accident. As he wrestles with the decision of whether to manipulate the jury to save himself or confess and turn himself in, he also tries to save the defendant without incriminating himself.
