Microsoft’s Acquisition Of Activision Blizzard Might Soon Get Them Into An Antitrust Lawsuit By FTC
Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision Blizzard has not gone well with the The Federal Trade Commission, as they are “likely” to file an antitrust lawsuit over the proposed deal.
Microsoft is now facing scrutiny from regulators around the world for their attempted acquisition. They announced their intention to purchase Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion back in January and if it goes through then franchises like Call of Duty, Diablo, World of Warcraft, and Overwatch will be owned by Microsoft.
The lawsuit is not yet guaranteed to happen, as the FTC’s commissioners have not voted on such a move but if it does the lawsuit could come in December but FTC declined to comment on this possibility yet.
