Horizon Forbidden West Sales Reach 8 Million Units, Horizon Franchise Surpasses 32 Million in Sales

Guerrilla Games’ Horizon Forbidden West has achieved a significant milestone, selling 8.4 million units worldwide and propelling the franchise to 32.7 million sales overall. Studio Director Jan-Bart van Beek acknowledged the achievement in a post on the PlayStation Blog, attributing the game’s success to initiatives such as PlayStation Plus and Play at Home.

A third main game in the Horizon series is already in development at Guerrilla, as well as an online game. The franchise has expanded to other media, including the upcoming Horizon Netflix series directed by Steve Blackman. Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores, praised the story’s character development and creative gameplay additions.
