Creator of Netflix’s Revenge-Comedy BEEF Aims for Three-Season Arc to Fully Tell His Story
Last week, Netflix released the first season of its revenge comedy series, Beef, featuring popular comedian Ali Wong and Oscar-nominated actor Steven Yeun. The show follows the lives of Danny, played by Yeun, and Amy, played by Wong, whose paths cross after a road rage incident. As their feud intensifies, their lives become increasingly entangled. The show’s creator, Lee Sung Jin, recently shared his vision for the show’s future, saying that he has mapped out three seasons in his head. While he wanted the first season to feel conclusive, he believes that there are many possibilities for the show’s continuation in future seasons. Jin is keeping details of his plans under wraps, but fans of the show can hope for a continuation of Danny and Amy’s story. The ensemble cast includes Joseph Lee, Young Mazino, David Choe, Patti Yasutake, Ashley Park, Mia Serafino, Remy Holt, Maria Bello, Justin H. Min, and Alyssa Gihee. Beef Season 1 is currently available to stream on Netflix.
