Blizzard Unveils Overwatch 2’s First-Ever IP Collaboration, Featuring One Punch Man’s Saitama Skin
Blizzard is expanding Overwatch 2’s live-service offerings with an IP collaboration, marking the first time licensed characters from outside the company will be featured in the game.
The collaboration will feature skins inspired by the popular anime series One-Punch Man, with a Doomfist skin inspired by protagonist Saitama revealed so far.
Blizzard plans to unveil additional items leading up to the collaboration’s release on March 7, with one of the cosmetics being a Legendary skin players can earn through a series of themed challenges.
The move is not entirely unexpected, as Overwatch VP Jon Spector previously expressed interest in exploring Fortnite-style crossovers. Additionally, Overwatch 2’s third season will feature a collection of Asian mythology-based cosmetics and a new Antarctic map, among other updates.
