It’s a warning for Final Fantasy 14 players as hackers are attempting to gain access to Square Enix accounts by using a combination of email addresses and passwords that appear to have been obtained from other online services of other companies
To protect your accounts:
- Change any passwords, if shared with other accounts.
- Reset your passwords
- Use One-Time Passwords which are temporary verifications that authenticate a user for a single login.
Square Enix says if this continues they may force a password reset for all Square Enix accounts in order to protect personal information and data.
