Marvel is set to release a new comic book series, Echo: The Saga of Maya Lopez, this fall instead of its planned early 2024 release. The change in release date is being advertised as a “media tie-in,” suggesting that the Disney+ series Echo may debut alongside the new comic book. Previously, rumors suggested the series would not be released until the end of the year or the first quarter of 2024. The Disney+ series follows the origin story of Echo, played by Alaqua Cox, as she faces her past, reconnects with her Native American roots, and learns the true meaning of family and community. The show is being developed by Etan Cohen and Emily Cohen, with a star-studded cast that includes Charlie Cox, Vincent D’Onofrio, and Graham Greene.
