In the latest Star Wars Jedi adventure, Survivor fans have become enamored with an unexpected character – Turgle, a quirky and lovable frog-boy from planet Koboh. Cal Kestis, the game’s protagonist, saves Turgle from a near-death experience, courtesy of the nefarious Bedlam Raiders led by the fearsome Gen’dai Rayvis.
While some players may have preferred Cal to abandon Turgle to his fate, many others have embraced the amphibious character’s naïveté and unique “frog energy.” Turgle’s relatable struggles with self-doubt and anxiety, revealed through in-game force echoes, have endeared him to gamers and sparked a flurry of social media fan art and calls for more Turgle-centric content.
Turgle’s voice actor, Richard Horvitz, expressed his gratitude for the fan support on Twitter, while Respawn Entertainment’s Justin Perez confirmed the development team’s affection for the character. The team even has an internal Slack channel dedicated to sharing Turgle-themed in-game snapshots.
As Turgle’s popularity continues to grow, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor players eagerly await potential future content featuring their new amphibious hero.
