Get Your Hands on These Beautiful Limited Edition Eeveelution Pokémon Cards
The Pokémon Company has announced a new collaboration with Japanese artist Yu Nagaba to release a box set of limited edition Eeveelution cards. Nagaba’s minimalistic style is known for evoking newspaper comics, and this collaboration features art of Eevee and all its evolutions. The box set will include a rubber playmat, sleeves for cards, and a deck box and is priced at 4800 yen (roughly $36 USD). Additionally, Nagaba’s art also appears on a portfolio and card display frame priced at 1980 yen (about $15 USD) and 1490 yen (around $11 USD), respectively. The set will launch in Japan on May 24 and is currently part of a lottery on the Japanese Pokémon Center site. Furthermore, the Pokémon Center will offer a promo card of the Eeveelutions for every 1000 yen spent on a TCG-related purchase starting May 24.
This announcement precedes another announcement that will reveal more information about a collaboration between Nagaba, Pokémon, and the clothing brand BEAMS on May 5. The limited edition cards are expected to be popular among collectors, and Nagaba’s style is already being praised for its minimalist tattoo fodder potential.
