Release of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Pushed Back to February 2024, Officially Confirmed

Rocksteady Studios has announced that its highly anticipated video game, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, has been delayed yet again. The game will now release on February 2, 2024, several months after its previous release date of May 26, 2023.

In a statement posted on Twitter, the developer explained that it has decided to delay the game in order to ensure that it delivers the best possible gaming experience. “We have made the tough but necessary decision to take the time needed to work on getting the game to be the best quality experience for players,” the statement read.

The delay marks the second time that the game’s release has been pushed back. Originally slated for a 2022 launch, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was later rescheduled for Spring 2023 before being pushed back to February 2024.

The delay follows criticism of the game’s live-service elements, which were revealed during a PlayStation State of Play event in February 2023. Fans expressed concerns over the game’s battle pass system and the requirement for an internet connection, even in solo play. It is currently unclear whether the delay will result in any significant changes to the game’s controversial features.

Despite the delays, Rocksteady Studios expressed gratitude to its fans for their continued support. “Thank you to our amazing community for the continued support, patience, and understanding,” the statement read. “There is much more to share in the months ahead and we look forward to seeing you in Metropolis next year.”

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will have players take control of one of four supervillains – Deadshot, Harley Quinn, King Shark, and Captain Boomerang – as they attempt to thwart Brainiac’s invasion of Metropolis. The game is set to be the first major release from Rocksteady Studios since the 2015 launch of Batman: Arkham Knight.
