Capcom unveiled a new trailer for Street Fighter 6 during today’s PlayStation State of Play presentation, revealing three new characters for the game’s roster. The new additions include series veterans Zangief and Cammy, as well as newcomer Lily.
Zangief’s signature Spinning Piledriver move and powerful wrestling holds are showcased in the trailer, while Cammy’s quick and potent array of strikes is also on display, featuring new moves in her arsenal. Meanwhile, newcomer Lily is introduced as a descendant of the Thunderfoot tribe and wields massive clubs as weapons while fighting. According to her official biography, she can communicate with the spirits of nature and relies on their guidance as she travels the world.
With the addition of these three characters, the starting roster for Street Fighter 6 now comprises 18 characters. These are the final characters to be announced for the initial release of the game, and no specific details have been revealed about future downloadable content.
Street Fighter 6 is set to launch on June 2, 2023, for Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. The game will feature a full single-player story mode called World Tour, and will include commentary from real-world Street Fighter personalities like Steve “Tasty_Steve” Scott and WWE wrestler Thea “Zelina Vega” Trinidad.
