According to Variety, Amazon is currently working on a new live-action series based on the Spider-Man Noir character, which will be set in the 1930s of New York City. Unlike previous versions of the character, the main protagonist will not be a version of Peter Parker.
Mortal Kombat writer Oren Uziel is set to write and executive produce the series, along with Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse producers Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, and former Sony boss Amy Pascal.
The show is reportedly set to exist in its own universe, separate from other existing Marvel properties. No other details have been revealed about the series at this time.
